Mythic Bridge returns from Sundance Film Festival full of inspiration and newly found support. Everyone we spoke to about Mythic Bridge loved the idea. Some amazing connections were made out there including an introduction to Harvey Weinstein, members of the Sundance Institute, the organizers of two film festivals; Dallas Film Festival, and the Mid West Independent Film Festival, Sean Stone (Oliver Stone?s son and co-founder) of Film Funds, a member of Canon interested in a future sponsorship, a real estate developer interested in helping Mythic Bridge find a permanent home and Silent Rebel a PR/Advertising firm who helps create material for non-profits. We don?t know where these connections will go but we know they are the crucial first steps on a long and prosperous journey.

Mythic Bridge began production on mentor Brett Glass?s production of ?RoomBuds.? This marks the first ?internship? program for Mythic Bridge where participants work on an actual set of a production. This is also Mythic Bridge?s first fully funded production. Set and costume pieces were generously provided by Materials for the Arts, a free service provided by the City of New York. We had a great team come together for this production and we are all very excited about moving forward.

Last night Contra Studio hosted the screening of Mythic Bridge's first group of participants' films. The event was sponsored by Mercy and Royal Wine Corp with music provided by Luka Tacon. Over 120 people attended the event which consisted mostly of the family and friends of the participants who were excited to see the projects their loved ones had created in such a short amount of time. Smiles and tears of joy were abundant. Pride was felt, not least of all by those at Mythic Bridge. All of the participants were awarded a certificate of completion and a DVD of their work. Mythic Bridge is looking forward to seeing where each of them go next.
